Fieldstone is very pleased to announce the re-introduction of a full-service cafeteria starting this September. After polling the community last spring,
there emerged a sense that convenient and healthy food service was an expectation of many of our students and parents. After retaining the services of school food consultant, David Campbell, who has worked extensively with private schools throughout Ontario, we met with representatives of several school-catering operations, and we have come to an agreement with Chartwells Education Dining Services. Chartwells is an industry leader with experience across the educational sector from public to private and from Kindergarten to post-secondary. Working together with Mr. Campbell and Chartwells, we have developed a programme that should meet the needs of our four year-old to eighteen year-old students as well as our teachers, administrators and parents. The programme will have the ability to be flexible and reactive to trends and tastes that emerge within our community. The programmes that we will be launching on September 5 will be different for Lower and Upper School and were designed to serve the different needs of younger and older students. At the outset, the Lower School lunch will be simpler, but we will have the ability to adjust both lunches over time.
We are very excited about what we are offering: healthy and delicious food made daily at the school and available for purchase, on demand, through a manual debit-card system (or by cash, in an emergency).
