Dear Fieldstone Families:

Every year since its creation the Fieldstone Parents Association (FPA) has grown and expanded. I am proud to report that during the 2006/07 school year the FPA contributed approximately $90,000 to funding requests at Fieldstone. What a successful year we had and as I look toward 07/08 I know we will continue to build on this success.

The FPA's mandate is simple; we focus solely on fundraising. The Funds raised by the FPA support the "extras" that further enrich our children's education experience at Fieldstone. Fieldstone is still a young school, by working closely with Dave Butcher and the Administration the funds the FPA raises can increase the educational opportunities available to our children today.

As we head into the 07/08 school year we are streamlining our approach to fundraising by reducing the number of events we hold, focusing on fewer, larger events and offering increased opportunities for tax deductible giving. Donations to the Fund for Fieldstone, our directed giving campaign and the Leaving Gift Program for parents of graduating students receive Tax Receipts.

The FPA will continue to offer fun, interactive fundraising events including Pizza Bingo scheduled for Thursday September 20th, Holiday Treasure during the first week of November, an expanded Scholastic Book Fair at the end of January, our student Art Show in April and of course the Big Event of the Year our Spring Gala on Friday, May 9th.

I hope that you will take some time to consider how your family can get involved and support the FPA. The FPA can always use more volunteers and even a few hours of your time can make a difference. Our Parents Association meetings take place the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM, starting Tuesday, October 2, 2007. I look forward to seeing many new and returning parents.
