FIELDSTONE FACTS

  • Fieldstone's Lower School has a unique, stimulating Global Knowledge Curriculum which includes the teaching of Shakespeare, violin and classic literature. The Upper School builds on the foundations of the Lower School and adds an outstanding university preparation programme.
  • Fieldstone teachers are patient, understanding and truly care about each individual student's progress.
  • Numerous leadership opportunities are provided for students through community service, athletics, house events and performing arts within the context of a small student population.
  • The Lower School provides an abundance of opportunities for character development using the six pillars of the Character Counts! Programme (respect, trustworthiness, caring, citizenship, fairness and responsibility). Through our Upper School Mentorship and Community Service Programme students take on leadership roles, including peer tutoring, student government, and mentorship.
  • Classical music appreciation is delivered daily in our Morning Music Appreciation Programme.
  • Our responsive and caring teaching faculty and administration are readily available to meet with parents.
  • Parents are encouraged to learn and grow and participate in their child's life at school, including membership in the Fieldstone Parents' Association and attending ongoing Parent Education Evenings.
  • At Fieldstone we create positive memories and foster life-long friendships.
  • We equip our students with the academic, social and organizational skills necessary to attend and be successful at the university of their choice.
  • We explicitly teach and develop organizational skills and exam proficiency preparation beginning in Grade Four.
  • The Fieldstone programme is demanding and challenging, but it is highly rewarding and is delivered in a nurturing and highly supportive environment.
